| Bio: | Welcome to my little bio. Not much to say here, for those who know me my life had been somewhat dull. I spent 5 years in the Marine Corps and opted not to return when I discovered that having a family is nicer if you can see them. My family, well that's another story. As of this moment (and apparently subject to change at Gods random whims) I am a father of four and happily married the their mother. In fact I think I've been married forever.. let's see.. married at 18.. yeah that pretty much counts as forever:). Currently I am working as a Security Outreach specialist. I formerly was a Systems Engineer (or as I call it button pushing monkey) for the local newspaper and I moonlight as the Video Game Critic for Columbus Alive (http://www.columbusalive.com). I'm not sure I want to continue as an IT guy, in the future I have plans to try and make this whole writing thing work - problem bein' that it doesn't pay very well.. so who knows what will happen. A couple years ago Chuck Nelson, my copy editor at the D, and I began a podcast called GameOn! (which you can find on the iTunes music store list of podcasts) that covers gaming topics and culture with an irreverent tone. We're having a blast and a lot of people seem to enjoy the dialog. I'm still hoping to expand my gaming related work and I figure if I don't become a game maker I'll just write about them. I was a full time student at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online majoring in Game Art & Design with 3 years of 4 done. I'm actually considering changing my Major but money is an issue. Who knows maybe I'll actually get into the field when I've finished the schooling.. if not then I guess I'll just do animation and illustration on the side. I've been involved with two small d20 presses in the last few years and both relationships ended in disappointment so for the time being, at least until I am done with school, I am putting aside my ambitions to self-publish d20 game materials and or to write fantasy and sci-fi stories for fun and adventure. | ||
